Key responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant will consist of the following:
Accruals and prepayments.
Preparing and submitting vat returns
Balance sheet reconciliations.
Profit and loss.
Submit confirmation statements and set up new companies for clients
Engage with clients.

The successful candidate will be a driven and friendly individual who is working or has worked in a practice role, covering elements of the practice management process and keen to work in a similar capacity or take a step up to run this independently.
What's on Offer
Knowledge of double entry book keeping (part or newly qualified Accountant/AAT preferable)
Experience of working in an accountancy practice
Ability to work in a high volume, transactional environment
Good communication skills

Ability to identify issues and escalate appropriately
Good Excel and sage skills combined with numeracy skills and attention to detail
Ability to develop good relationships with the clients and internal colleagues
